Secret Springs Resort is for sale in Desert Hot Springs California

The Secret Springs Resort is for sale. It can be purchased for a mere $799,000 dollars. It is located in the not so scenic town of Desert Hot Springs. The resort has a shady past. It was an exclusive, clothing optional lifestyle (swinger wife swapping) resort featuring natural, geothermally heated mineral pools and operated as a private club where the interior decorator must have got his degree from Walmart. The new owner can restore this resort to glory and change the focus and mission to providing comfortable accommodations for rock climbers, tourists, etc. coming out of Joshua Tree National Park located not so far away. The aerial pool area photo looks fairly nice.
Here is a close up of the hot mineral pool.
and another angle of this hot mineral pool and I guess what would be the penthouse suite.
The hotel has a lot of Chaise Lounges around the pool. Notice the ice machine, the refrigerator perhaps containing bait for fishing on the Whitewater river, and the wife swapping advertisement to the right of that. So classy....... A close up aerial view of the pool.
The property has a giant hot mineral water
tub as well with sun protection. Looks like it has an outdoor picnic eating area with tree shade too.
and some stout stone or concrete tables as well.
Now the rooms are about as generic and bland as they get. I joked about the interior decorator getting a degree from Walmart but it appears to be fairly accurate. The vibe is retro Soviet Union Gulag or something like that. Check this room out.
Even Motel 6 does a better job. This photo evoked a memory of watching the movie POPEYE with Robin Williams where he is holding Sweetpea in a "House of Ill Repuke" as he called it with Popeye telling Sweetpea, "Don't touch her Sweetpea, you might get a venerable disease." Looking at this photo it is obvious the bed needs to switch places with the dresser. The bed should not be by the door. This room has 50 shades of grey, and none of them were intentional. It's like the decorator dipped the walls in sadness and manic depression. The bathrooms look okay, if not generic.
and some rooms have kitchenettes.
There are more photos to see online at the link below where the resort is for sale of the various bedrooms, fountains, grounds etc. It has a parking lot too. This property is for sale at a reasonable price and with some additional capital for upgraded interiors it will make for a nice resort if upgraded.
