The incredible SACRED ROCK INN is for sale in Elk, California

 The Sacred Rock Inn is for sale in Elk, California. 

Back in 2016 I was inspired to travel to Mendocino, California in honor of my father who passed away. Before he passed I would watch a lot of murder mystery shows on DVD with him. He loved to watch MURDER SHE WROTE with Angela Lansbury because Lansbury would always bring on old movie stars like Turhan Bay 

from the golden age of film and guest star them on the show. Now the show took place in the mythical town of Cabot Cove, Maine but in reality it was Mendocino, California. Here is a photo of the Blair House B&B which was used as the home of Jessica Fletcher (Angela Lansbury) in Mendocino. 

I made the journey in 2016 and explored the town and the trails around it. Amazing place, I actually had a photo of myself where actor James Dean once sat in front of a yellow colored building in the film EAST OF EDEN 

which is an excellent movie by the way. Now someone suggested that I see the town of Elk so I took the most frightening drive up to Elk which was around 10 miles to the south on a very curvy cliff side road with no guard rail. Scared the hell out of me because the cliff was so steep and scary but the views just blow you away. This is where the Sacred Rock Inn is located. Here is an idea how steep the cliffs are. 

If you fall off that edge at the hotel your death is pretty much guaranteed. Here is a beautiful aerial panoramic view of Elk and the Pacific Ocean.

I had the nightmare of falling off this particular cliff and being consumed by seals. Now the property also has two restaurants. One is called the Elk House Restaurant

and the other is the Greenwood Restaurant.
