Granot Loma is for sale. Time for it to become great again.

Granot Loma is for sale. It is an incredible old hunting lodge that still has great potential to regain its former glory. It is purportedly to be the largest log cabin in the world. I am fond of it because the logs are all Oregon Pine. It is beautiful in any season. Look at it with snow on the roof.

It is located 15 miles from Marquette, Michigan on the shore of Lake Superior. It has been up for sale.

Granot Loma for sale It was selling for 40 million and as low as 19.5 million. It has not sold yet. It is powered by clean energy, a wind mill, has its own farm to provide the opportunity of farm to table, numerous hiking trails, a private island, and many other buildings. Granot Loma website has all the info.

The interiors are amazing. Check out the bar area.

Very cool! Now here is a photo of one of the bedrooms.
Here is another one.
And now the Dining Room.
and the hot tub.
It even has a billiard table pool room.
I think the new owners should make it an employee owned company. The lodge has many other buildings where employees could be given free housing. This would cut down on commuting cost, bring better employee attendance, and if employees get ownership they will work harder to make the resort a success and be profitable. It should provide daycare as well since the resort is in a remote spot. Oddly enough I watched a video of actress Stella Stevens being interviewed by Skip Lowe in 1992 on Youtube and she mentioned she was married at 15, had a child, Andrew, at 16 and worked as a model in Memphis Tennessee at Goldsmith's Department Store where she mentions that a daycare was in the department store so she could do her job and keep Andrew there safely. It was there that she got "discovered" and became an actress. With happy employees the service to the guests will be so much better and the place can succeed because everyone has a stake in it. Cool resort and the state of Oregon represents well with logs for the cabin.
This is the idea for June 2022
